The global master also works very well. The caveats: (1) the footwitchable preamp boost adds a lot of volume as well as some mids. So, you can go from bedroom volume to loud pretty fast with that. And the boost level is not adjustable. (2) The jazz/rock switch I think of as the quiet/loud switch.
