Ended up running into problems with my Injection pump and it took much longer than i anticipated. DB4's are intended to flow as much fuel as possible. for a traditional rotary pump. which intercooling among other mods will be required to use it correctly and not burn your engine up. for the majority, a DB2 will work just fine, as only a hand full of people use a IP hotter than 110 cc's. Reaction score. 804. Location. PNW. Imho, idi is better for 'heavier' fuel. Injector fouling is less of a problem since there is one spray hole, and the pre-cup design stays hotter. On the DI side, i believe (from my experiences) an injector tip with fewer, larger holes performs better with wmo.

The E4OD does not shift by releasing one clutch and simultaneously applying the next; the 4R110 does but that's a different animal that uses software to get the timing right. So chances are, this may have been bleeding fluid pressure and lubricant from early on. Automatic control via the PCM and full manual lockup. This allows the computer to run the converter as normal, but also allows a full manual lockup in 3rd and 4th gears. Actually, it seems that the zf5 uses a bell housing adapter to connect to the IDI, but the zf6 doesn't use one to connect to the powerstroke. I'll see if I can't dig up a pic.
